About Riverside Materials, Inc.

Incorporated in 1990 by James J. Anderson, Riverside Materials Inc. is a state-of-the-art, recycle-capable, high-production asphalt plant located in the City of Philadelphia.

The plant is located on Route 95 a few miles north of Center City. This location provides quick and easy access to North and South Philadelphia and Delaware County by way of Route 95. It also allows easy access to West Philadelphia on Route 676 and to New Jersey using the Betsy Ross and Ben Franklin Bridges, which are both within a few miles.

Riverside Materials, Inc. features a Standard Havens/Cedar Rapids 500 ton per hour counter flow drum plant with recycle capability. Riverside has a fully equipped testing lab capable of certifying material for the State of Pennsylvania, the State of New Jersey and the Federal Aviation Administration.

Riverside also has a Universal recycle crushing plant capable of producing 250 tons per hour of subbase material from either concrete or asphalt construction debris. Additionally, a McCloskey track and Powerscreen portable screening plant are used to size stockpiled milled material for reuse in the asphalt plant.

Many bulk aggregates for producing asphalt mixtures are imported by rail service. A complete train unloading system is capable of dumping fifty (50) railcars in 2 1/2 hours.
